Demand for the Taystee Bread van in the U.S.A. was so great that the American Bread Company obtained permission from Lesney Products to produce non-Lesney labels similar to those found on the Merita and Langendorf models. There are notable differences between the non-Lesney label and the standard Taystee label - the former is square, clear with no white border surround, with the letters in 'Taystee' being pale yellow and the black text measuring 23mm in length, whilst the latter has black text measuring 25mm.
